About this role
TFS HealthScience is a leading global mid-size Contract Research Organization (CRO) that partners with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies throughout their entire clinical development journey. Our expertise includes full service capabilities, resourcing and Functional Service (FSP) solutions.
The Technical Manager is responsible for the overall technical management, maintenance, and compliance of a GMP-classified facility, ensuring operational reliability, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement of critical systems and infrastructure.
As part of our SRS/FSP team, you will be dedicated to one sponsor, a global pharmaceutical company that is an industry leader in drug manufacturing and GMP-compliant facility management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and operation of GMP-classified areas, including HVAC, cleanrooms, purified water systems, control systems, and computerized systems.
- Lead and coordinate technicians, consultants, and external resources to ensure efficient workflows and prevent bottlenecks.
- Manage deviation reports, CAPA processes, and qualification plans in line with applicable quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, service providers, and during external inspections.
- Participate in investment projects while ensuring compliance with environmental, waste management, and quality requirements.
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives to optimize facility performance.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, automation) or equivalent documented experience in technical operations and maintenance.
- Experience working in environments with strict regulatory demands as well as technical facility management.
- Strong knowledge of critical systems such as ventilation/climate systems, purified water production, and controlled environment infrastructure.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills in both Swedish and English.
- Experience with deviation management, qualification processes, and regulatory compliance.
